Im searching to get a new lens, something that goes a small wider than my 18-70. Im currently searching at the Tokina 12-24. Its a great cost since im on a spending budget and Ive read a few evaluations and most individuals seem to like it. Just wondering is there anything bad about this lens. Im currently using a Nikon d50.

in the link there are pros and cons from users. i think its a low end lens and if thats ok with you..go for it.
It is a superb lens, especially for the price. I have noticed a bit of distortion at the widest setting. sometimes it's okay; other times, it's very intrusive. However, this distortion is intrinsic to a lens this wide.
Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this lens--it gets shots you would otherwise miss. Optically, it's 99% of the equivalent Nikon, but it's less than half the price!
just bought it 2weeks ago,cos me $775 sin dollar. love it, awesome.give me any tight space, no prob. now it becoming my normal lens...go for it man..no regret
