I have a Nikon 17-35mm AF-S Zoom-Nikkor Lens f/2.8-f/22 that I used on my Nikon N80. Should I keep it?

Hi,
I bought a Nikon 17-35mm AF-S Zoom-Nikkor Lens f/2.8-f/22 a year ago to use with my old 35mm Nikon N80. I recently converted to digital with a Nikon D80. Should I maintain my 17-35mm Nikon lens or sell it to purchase an additional lens much more appropriate for digital photography? I'm not really sure. I could probably get back what I paid for the Nikon lens (about $900).
Cheers

You should definitely keep this lens. It's a great lens, with a very usable focal length on a digital camera, roughly equivalent to having a 25.5mm to 52.5mm lens on a film camera (when mounted on a D80).
You'll want a good, wide lens, so definitely keep this lens. Otherwise, you'll just have to buy another wide lens to tide you over.
I think you should keep it. I doubt you'll be able to get back what you paid for it, and it's a good lens and should work on your new camera fine.
Why would you want to sell it? There's no reason why you need to replace it, the 17-35mm being one of the finest wide angle zooms that Nikon has ever made.
If you do want to sell it, however, I would be willing to buy it for $200.00.
